Packing Cubes are a small fabric bags that fit inside your luggage. They’re used to organise your packing and make it easier to get things in and out of your bags. I was introduced to packing cubes by a travelling companion 10 years ago and I honestly couldn’t travel without them anymore.
These are the best packing cubes available in Australia:
Eagle Creek Packing Cubes – My Pick
I’ve been using Eagle Creek Packing Cubes for the last 10 years. And I’ve been using the same set! So if you’re looking for the most durable packing cubes that will just last and last, then these are the ones I recommend.
I shove a lot of clothes into my packing cubes, so they definitely get a workout. I’m amazed that they’ve actually lasted this long.
The Eagle Creek packing cubes are light weight, but strong enough to support clothes being compressed inside. Even the mesh fabric doesn’t stretch and doesn’t feel like it will break.
Eagle Creek sells a really nice starter set. This comes with 3 packing cubes and I’ve found for most trips I only really need these 3.
Amazon Basics Packing Cubes
If you’re looking for a cheap set of packing cubes that are of good quality, my pick would be the Amazon Basics Packing Cubes.
I doubt these will hold up as long as the Eagle Creek cubes, but judging my the reviews these seem to be of a decent quality and will definitely get the job done.
I also like the fact that the Amazon Basics packing cubes come in a good range of sizes. You can pretty much mix and match the cubes to create a set that will perfectly match your packing needs.
Nineway Packing Cubes
The Nineway Packing Cubes have straps on the inside of the large and extra large cubes to compress and hold your clothes. They also come in a nine piece set so you’ll get pretty much everything you need for packing in the one purchase.
Finally they come in 6 different colours.
July Packing Cubes
The July Packing cubes (or packing cells) are a bit pricey. They are the most expensive of the bunch. But July make super high quality luggage and accessories. July also offers a 5 year warranty. I would expect these packing cubes to last much longer. I currently use their suitcase as my regular travel case and can attest to the quality. If my Eagle Creek packing cubes ever pack it in, I’ll probably pick up a set of the July packing cubes.
